So when everyone is talking about their wife of girlfriend in the barracks a gay soldier cannot talk about their significant other. Thats not asking for special treatment, thats asking for equal treatment.

My point being that if Carl was so concerned with the health and well being of the armed forces he would not be coming out of the woodwork in regards to this issue. Rather, he wants to keep the status quo no matter what, for better or for worse. That is the real agenda here.
