This order amounts to a Backdoor Amnesty for millions of Illegal Aliens who have no legal right to be in the U.S. Obviously, this order flies in the face of decades of clear federal law.
Shame on the Feds -- It's all about FRAUD and pandering!

The memo states that illegal aliens are not to be pursued if they meet any of 19 factors, including:

Serves the community, or
Has a job, or
Cares for a disabled, infirm, or mentally challenged relative, or
Pregnant or breast-feeding, or
Brought to the United States as a child, or
Graduated from high school, or
Has a relative in the U.S. military.
And etc.....ad nauseum

What it does in most cases is allow a Readjustment of Status, which grants basically a Parole, which then allows a Work authorization. This is about cheap labor; a continuation of the Chamber of Commerce's open border position.

This is my primary objection to the proposal, which has little chance of passing and is basically pandering to the OBLites (Open Border Lobby). It's 'Dream-on Lite'

Under the bill, undocumented high school graduates would be eligible for temporary student visas and, upon their graduation from an American university, would "cut red tape" on the visa administration process to become more cost-effective and timely for employers. It would also create a new fund through the visa fees to promote the fields among K-12 institutions, provide field training for former military personnel and the unemployed, and provide STEM scholarships to low-income students.

The proposal is a mini-Amnesty for illegal aliens, will be wrought with fraud, and is UnSustainable.
We are granting over a million green cards a yr, which surpasses the number of jobs being created.

It will be filled with 'discretionary' provisions and places all American STEM grads in direct competition for those very jobs they studied to get.
We cannot continue to invite the world into our country to take the jobs from our citizens.

ARTICLE 29
Immigration Status - Cooperation With Federal Officials

CRS 29-29-101.
Legislative declaration.

(1) THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES, AND DECLARES THAT:
(a) SANCTUARY POLICIES ARE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCES OR POLICIES THAT PROHIBIT LOCAL OFFICIALS, INCLUDING PEACE OFFICERS, FROM COMMUNICATING OR COOPERATING WITH FEDERAL OFFICIALS WITH REGARD TO THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF ANY PERSON WITHIN THE STATE;
