Devo, Taylor for Landsbury to give natural balance, play Baldock top right over Faubert as he is better in front of goal and play Vaz Te top left as he is naturally two footed and scores goals. The pace up top will force Saints to sit deeper and thus negate the threat of them getting down the flanks and feeding Sharpe and Lambert. I would even go as far as playing Maynard over Cole, however that will leave us a little light on height to defend set pieces ...

Dare I say it Roy the locals are lovely and I go to Lacanau on the west coast each year with the family. However, politically they do themselves no favours, sporting wise they are without doubt the worst losers on the planet and as for Henry, well, Terry has his faults, however to cheat the way he did and then claim otherwise shows the real person.

Anyway, how's tricks mate, long time no chat, when are you next over for a game ...

For god sake Roy, stop making it sound so simple. Very well put together, however, can I add one thing, John Terry himself ... whilst I agree with you about the skippers armband to a degree, I do feel leadership is a natural ability, some have it, some don't, some are better than others and others simply have the ability to lift others when the going gets tough. Bobby Moore was one such leader and during the qualifiers, dare I say it so was John Terry.

However, being a born leader is one thing, having values and standards and an understanding of equality and diversity is another. This is where the individual falls down. In the case of John Terry, it isn't what he said or did, it is a case of what it looks like to the others, can he sit in that changing room, look every last player in the eyes and say he is innocent, if he can then why not get the court case over and done with sooner one might say .... however, Bobby Moore would stand up and say, I know what it looks likes, it doesn't look good, so me personally, I wish to step aside until this mess is sorted out, thats the difference between a legendary leader whose respects those around him over one who expects others to follow him ... hope that makes sense ...

JH, I understand where you are coming from, however under our judicial system you are innocent until proven guilty. The FA created the problem by typically doing half measures. As you say, he should have either been totally suspended or left alone. However, you then have the emotive issue of having Rio being expected to play alongside him ...

All that said, Capello, felt it could work, maybe he wasn't planning to take Rio to Euro 2012 ? if the likes of Drogba, Essien, Kalou and Malouda are comfortable with having John Terry around and he is still playing for Chelski then who are we to judge.

The bottom line on the football side is that, like him or loathe him, he is our best leader on the pitch and that showed at the WC 2010. All very emotive stuff ehh ...
