@Paramendra

Blogger is very SEO friendly, and a good first step, but this post was more about how to get a professional setup ready.

@Sheilah,

In a case like yours, at least from what I've read here, I'd also consult an attorney. It sounds like you have a libel case here as well.

1) Immediately stop talking to them. 2) Find the security / abuse department's email at AOL and notify them. Then copy them on a note that says "Cease and Desist" in the subject line asking the person not to contact you. IF they contact you again, AOL can delete their account.

Thank you for your suggestions Ron. I think I have most of these in the Social Publishing MBA pool, but I shall double check, and if they are not, I will add them for consideration.

@Louis,

You raise a great point, and I'm not quite sure what the Thumbs up button does, if anything, but I have clicked it for your comment.

@Sheamus,

You raise some excellent points here as well. I didn't realize Darren or Ferriss do that for their blog, or even consider that one would hire someone to operate their comments section. That's an interesting area of exploration and discussion itself.

And I think you're right on the community powered blog. Robin had a good example above about a blog where people post questions in the comments section for her to answer.

So I think for the post here it's important to clarify (and I'll do this in Tuesday's follow-up) that the style of the blog is important. All of the examples I used were very much one-way examples, so it's worth exploring community powered blogs in the next post.

@Robin,

That's an excellent point. and I think a good exception to point out.
