In other words, seek out the most inflammatory quote or quotes of your opponent -- regardless of the context. Then spread the word in a manner that the witless or intellectually challenged can use when their ilk are incapable of wrapping their minds around really important issues.
Anyone with half a brain knows exactly what Romney meant with his statement, even if he failed to artfully articulate it. He cares as much for the poor as the next fellow and certainly more than most Democrats. His charitable record is well documented.
But hey, why let such details get in the way of an opportunity to demonize the guy, right? It's the American way. Why change -- or better yet, why not?

What the thin-skinned in this dustup would have us believe is that Gov. Brewer wagged her finger in Obama's face or thumped his chest in a threatening manner, which the Governor obviously did not do. Indeed, for Willaims and his ilk to suggest Brewer was demonstrating disrespect to the President I would counter that Obama demonstrated poor judgment in confronting Brewer about his treatment in the Governor's book, given the setting for Obama's comments. Indeed, if Obama wanted to broach the subject there are numerous ways, times and places that certainly would have been more appropriate.
Frankly, however, once Obama crossed the line and confronted Brewer I believe she was perfectly within her rights to rebut the President's comments. And when politicians have a discussion, how often have any of us witnessed such a discussion without the participants engaging in ample hand gesturing?

Here's a little tip for you beginners, Meghan. A short, more easily understood word is always better -- particularly if you don't know the longer word or how to pronounce it. Just think how much trouble you could have saved yourself in this instance if you had said "a bit of privacy or "a small amount," instead of -- "emoticon"?????!!!!!!!
And to think that just the other day you were calling Rick Santorum a moron!
