Race is the topic because this story has dominated two news cycles. FOX is not to blame for it, either; the blame belongs to the NAACP and to the BHO Administration. The NAACP (who owns the tape) overreacted; BHO acted stupidly and fired Saint Shirley (who isn't much of a saint: if you listen to the entire 45 minute video, she's bashing Republicans and George Bush...remember the Hatch Act? She should've been fired for those comments). Then the Left, as they always do, play the Race Card. But this time there's pushback. The story should be the JournoList collusion to get BHO elected, and destroy Sarah Palin. Read The Daily Caller or Big Government for more on that.

Yeah, I get all the referents. And I've read my "As a color, a shade of purple-grey". It's a shame that the 'safety at any cost' cocoon conundrum has seemingly ended America's extraterrestrial exploration at this early stage, and, bizarrely, right at a point when our population is at it's greatest. The fact is, we've so many people alive right now that the value of any given single human life is worth less than it's comparative, say, 50 years ago; and worth a fractional percent of a living human a few thousand years ago. We should be throwing people at the planets! Colonizing Mars and mining the asteroids, never mind the all-too-important 'safety' net. We've people to spare. I would leave out tomorrow if the opportunity existed! I'm thinking China and India will reach out and surpass our (Euroculture's) pathetic explorative boundaries soon enough. Godspeed to them. Cities in flight, and all of that.

Pretty good stuff! I especially liked the patent data, state-by-state vs. foreign-owned. I know the Chinese do not respect patents, first hand. I've seen cases where entire electromechanical devices were disassembled and duplicated wholesale (a German firm I represent thought they were close to getting parts manufactured on the cheap in China, and sent the thing over for 'evaluation'). You can't ever trust a still-communist nation; every decision is based on 'the common good' irregardless of private ownership.
