Another thing that I think should be remembered is that the various extremely authoritarian and religiously intolerant governments which we see in the Muslim world were actually put there by the US, starting with the Taliban, in order to fight communism. In fact, even when the bogey of communism is removed, they still serve that function; they fight against the influence of Russia and China, and to that extent the US supports them.
HasEyes, surely you should be able to see that using the supposed oppression of women (or for that matter "GLBT people") as a blatantly cynical pretext for bombing their countries and stealing their natural resources, is not the best way of improving their lot? That, in fact, it will make it considerably worse, since they will be regarded as the witting or unwitting causes of the bombing, by those taken in by this propaganda? That, in fact, the best way to improve their lot, should you sincerely wish to do so, is to be friendly and cooperative with the countries concerned, and to earn their friendship in return (not something the USA is capable of)?

The assumption made by the writers that there is nothing to the organ theft stories is gratuitous. Neither Phil nor Adam knows anything about Iranian politics (I notice for instance that they have made no mention whatever of the CIA-backed series of Jundullah terrorist bombings in Iran), and their motives for running this campaign here on MondoWeiss are highly suspect. I recommend that people who visit MondoWeiss because of their interest in zionist matters boycott it until Phil and Adam cease and desist from using the site as a vehicle for this campaign.
