A tragic story but what's with all the anti-gun, "scare the devil" out of people, selective editing by the AP writer/commentator? So she wore a gun? Lot's of people do because they believe that they are the one person most capable of defending themselves. Obvioiusly the police weren't there to protect her and the one time she needed a gun, it wasn't there to protect her either. Kind of reinforces the idea that if you carry all the time, you'll have a gun when it is truly needed.
