I've avoided this show because the track record for American versions of British shows isn't that great and the track record for SyFy shows isn't that great and when you combine the two things you have the makings for epic fail but maybe I should give it a try anyway.
Boo hoooooo.....
"Some people still don't worship Obama and I don't like it!!"
Well, Star Trek was known for being rather ham-handed. Witness the anti-racism episode with the two aliens who are black on one side of their bodies and white on the other.
But wouldn't the EPA hit you up with a massive fine for causing a toxic waste spill by pouring your beer out in the sand? Why I understand it's almost as bad as spilling milk.
Given Madonna's history I'm inclined to think what she's really upset about is that M.I.A. is getting more attention than she is.
Someone remind me, where does Moore stand on the Roman Polanski issue?
Seems to me the 10 must unnecessary giant monster movies would be a list of SyFy original movies.
I'm conflicted about this because the trailers do look like it might be a fun movie but at the same time I'd like to see a good, faithful adaptation of The Mysterious Island which this obviously is not. Really, if Hollywood is going to so alter something that it's going to effectively be an original work I don't see why they don't just take the extra step of actually making it something original.
I've found it to be kind of an iffy show. Not really that good but I've been watching in the hopes it might improve. Sounds like it's time for me to drop it instead. Can't say that I'll really miss it.
I've disliked Madonna since the 80s when my friends and I would refer to her as "Madingdong." I did have one friend who liked her music and the rest of us frequently cited this as proof that his taste was suspect. and not to be trusted. So there is a remote possibility that my current dislike for the former Mrs. Sean Penn is based on something other than her age.
