"[…] without a computer graphic in sight."

Please, it would be rather appreciated if the writer of this had seen the film, or even a trailer for it before discussing it like this. The Triplets of Belleville has loads of 3D CGI in it, for most of the vehicles like bicycles, cars, trains, ships and various little things like a weather vane and the integration of drawn and CGI and the freshness they brought to each other is perhaps the thing I most liked about the film at the time and something it should be commended for, not denied existing.

When I, inspired by the release of the comics in book form, recently began to read the Moomin novels (some of which I read as I child) but this time in order and starting from the very first, never-published-in-the-UK The Moomins and the Great Flood, the experience caused me to want nothing so much than to remake the whole saga as series of films in 3D stop motion. I dismissed the idea as pointless, as there have already been so many adaptations of these books and, surely, other books which would suit being adapted and haven't yet. But it would seem that someone else has got there first (and resolved that issue by only adapting the later, lesser-known novels which many a previous adaptation hasn't run long enough to include)…
