It sounds as though you are gaining access to some of the memories that your father passed on to you when you were conceived. This is a definitely a sign of Awakening and not Yannoneth overwriting your DNA.

Try to spend some time focusing on those places you said you "remembered" and see if you can increase the number of things from your father's childhood that you can access.
