I love how all the "small government conservatives" shriek about cuts to our morbidly obese military budget. Most conservatives are not for limited government, only limited social programs.

Good!

We patients should have access to OUR health data, and companies should be punished for denying us access to OUR health data.

If I want to check my health record for errors or to do research on treatments, then companies had better give me my record!

Finally, HHS has done something right for patients... although there's a whole lot more they need to do.

Maybe the solution is a conservative military dictatorship. You know, the kind that the people of Egypt and Tunisia just overthrew.

Obama had nothing to do with Egypt's uprising and there's almost nothing our government can do about it. Your speculations about his behind the scenes role are the ravings of an ignorant conspiracy theorist. When the "truth" comes out about this, absolutely nothing will indicate that Obama played a key role in the revolutions of Tunisia and Egypt. But you won't notice because you'll be on to your next wild fantasy.

Gee, I guess maybe we're not pro-democracy after all. Even though we've spent decades touting the virtues of democracy around the globe, and even though we justified the wars in Iraq and Vietnam in part on the grounds that we were bringing democracy to the regions. Yet, when the Palestinians elect Hamas or Egypt hints it may elect an Islamic government, suddenly the American people don't seem to support democracy anymore. Democracy, it seems, is acceptable only when it serves American interests.

To answer the question posed in the headline to this article: No. That's freakin stupid. What a western-centric view of the world. Not to mention several decades behind the times, this being the era of social networking. Fact is, America has been supporting dictators with tax dollars for decades, and the people under those dictators are rightly calling for freedom. America and its western allies are freaked out by the ensuing riots because they've been paying homage to the dictators, not the people. And now we reap the whirlwind...

What am I missing here that A_pen seem to think the killer will walk? And Willy, you're out of your damn mind if you think prison is a pleasant place to be.

What the hell are you talking about? The judge has absolutely no grounds to let the killer off just because the victim's brother made a failed attempt to attack him in court. You've got no freakin clue about how the court system works. You're just using this rather heart-wrenching spectacle as an excuse to spew your hatred at the imaginary crimes of people who have different politics than you do. Your comment is irrelevant and ignorant.
