Eileen (for Freedom? why did you change your call sign?), Now that Santorum has shown an ability to lead, hence his increase in popularity, I will be forced to do more research into his political history and background to see if I could get behind pulling the lever for him. That being said, I haven't heard him discussing any foreign policy issues in some of the interviews I've seen with him. Where does he stand with respect to the current war on terror? the fight against Islam? Iran and North Korea? These are all things that will be very important in order to win my vote. However, I'm impressed by the gains he has made so far and since my guy Cain is out, Newt looks like he's about to be out, Paul should have been out last year, I feel like I'm being left with Santorum and Romney. And to me Romney is McCain lite, so I would be holding my nose to vote for him.

All the conseratives you mentioned have enough sense to know how to take care of themselves and not slide down the slippery slope of self destruction (like Rush who was able to catch himself). This is in contrast to the lefties (which many in the entertainment industry are members of) that are too stupid to realize they are not indestructible and there are consequences for their actions. Lefties=not too smart, conservatives=more intelligent. God doesn't like stupid people.

I was 14 years old at the time. I remember my dad and I sitting in a never ending line for gas one day. Out of the blue, I remeber him saying he'd never vote for a Democrat again. The govt can classify Islam a cult and it would lose all protections it currently receives as a religion. It would be very easy to prove it is more of a government than a religion so could be done very easily. They're just afraid of all the rioting mooselimbs that it causes. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if there's any laws to prevent belonging to a cult, but I was under the impression that there were laws that could prevent the formation/activities of a cult. I may be wrong. I know years ago Germany classified Scientology as a cult and banned it. I say we do the same to Islam. It's easy to prove their base values are incompatible and dangerous to our society, so let' s get it banned.
