"About the only thing I watch sometimes on SyFy is Smackdown."

That and the faux-ghost shows are what is wrong with SyFy.

Saw it twice in theater and have witched my DVD three times so far and I love this film more and more. Hardy was very good, but Nolte stole the show for me. Some of his scenes are gut wrenching, even on multiple viewings.

He changed his name from Joseph not Josh. His given name is Joseph Hill Whedon. You can't fix people who can't use Google to figure out a persons real name. Is that the stupid you can't fix?

ETA Joss is a common nickname for people named Joseph. I would venture to say that is why his goes by Joss. It's a much better explanation than the made up stuff you wrote.

I've read that too, but I don't think adding more mindless zombie violence would make for a better TV series. It seem that it would take away from the story. It works great in the shorter film format where it's easier to deal with a shallow story and fill the gaps with action and awesome zombie gore, but trying to watch that for 6 or more episodes would end up being even more boring than some this TWD is IMO.

The humans and emotion are what makes it interesting to me. Seeing how this group of poor souls deal with each other while dealing with the zombies is fascinating to me and, while not present on screen for every scene, the zombies drive almost all the decisions the character make.

Can't wait for S2!

I wish this film was doing better at the box office. So many people are missing out on a really great film.

To anyone reading this, if you aren't going to see the film because it a "fight" film, please reconsider. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I saw a sneak peek last Sunday and it's an amazing film and I will be seeing it again this weekend. Great story and performances all around and Nick Nolte has a couple of really great moments.

Don't let the MMA aspect of the film keep you from it if you are not an MMA fan. It's not really about that and you will be denying yourself the experience of watching a really good film. If you are an MMA fan then you will enjoy the action sequences. They are done very well and this is coming from a guy who's been cage/ring side at 100's of MMA fight as a photographer.
