Big Peace : Exclusive: Obama Reads Book; Author Corrects President's Reading Comprehension

I am always amazed by the liberal mind set. They can list all the bad things that ever happened because of America and say they aren't justified by the good and America is bad. They can list one or two things done by a communist regime and justify the death of millions based on them and talk about how we should emulate them.

Big Hollywood : The 'House' That Even-Handedness Built

I am pro choice. I don't want to make that decision for the woman. But one thing I have always found odd. I say it is her choice to kill the unborn child, and the "pro choice" crowd doesn't want to "say it" that way. I tell them I would sanction the murder of the unborn child, I just don't want to have any part of it and that includes paying for it. They tell me its not murder. They want to call it something else. So it is not enough that I would give them the right to do so, they want to rename the act so it is not as offensive. Turns out, although I am pro choice, I am unwilling to rename the act of murdering the unborn child to make them feel better about it. You can have the right to do it, but it is what it is and you have to own it. They don't want to be burdened with owning the act. They want absolution of some sort by renaming the act. That, I am unwilling to give.

Big Journalism : Chronicling MSM's Coverage Of Holder's Fast and Furious Testimony

Maybe if we had more gun control laws we wouldn't have had "fast and furious". Oh, wait. That was the point of "Fast and Furious". To get more gun control laws we had to violate the existing gun control laws. Maybe we should move into collecting all the guns without the laws to do so. Wait, we did that during the Katrina tragedy in New Orleans. This is getting confusing. Which laws do the DOJ enforce and which ones are the ignoring? It seems like it would be easier if we just went ahead and followed the laws as written and changed them with legislation signed by the senate, congress and the president if we don't.

Big Peace : Army Orders Court-Martial for Alleged Wikileaks Source Bradley Manning

Jeff Patterson "owed Americans an explanation". Fair enough. He was given a security clearance. He accessed and dispensed classified documents without the authority to do so. Doing so hurt the war effort and damaged the credibility of the state department during a time of war. He released the documents to have this affect. So he should be hung. Barring that, life in prison no chance of getting out other than a box after a very long time. Explained. Any questions? I can explain it to you Mr. Patterson, but I can't understand it for you.

Big Government : GOP Ready to Replace ObamaCare After SCOTUS Decision

I am not for mandatory anything. As a matter of fact, I am adamently against forcing people to do anything. I have an HSA and I agree its a good thing. However, I am self employeed. Many employers give great health insurance because it is a perk that can be offered they can use as a tax break and the employee gets a valuable benefit tax free. However, many companies can't afford to give 100% health insurance. So being able to deduct the remainder from your taxes would be a huge benefit. All, without being mandantory.

Of course the appointment of the judges and the appointment of his consumer protection racket loser have nothing to do with creating jobs but he links them together hoping you don't have a question like "what does appointing a judge have to do with creating jobs?" or what does appointing this judge have to do with economics at all?

I got one fix that would help every single person who pays taxes. Make medical deductions 100% deductible like a mortgage interest and property taxes. Right now, you may only deduct that amount above 7.5% of your income. So if you make 35,000 taxable, you have to have more than 2625 to deduct anything and then you can only deduct that amount over 2625. If you change the code to make all health insurance and medical costs deductible, a family of 5 paying 600 a month for insurance could deduct 7200 a year from their taxes just for health insurance. It is an easy change to one line of code in the tax system that would benefit all americans and would address a concern on medical spending. Granted, it wouldn't give any group any more political power.

Big Government : Does this Obama Appointee Believe Children's Vaccines Cause Autism?

I guess my look at it is from the stand point of pharmogenetics. Nothing will ever be made that someone does not have an adverse reaction. Case in point, my youngest son is allergic to milk. How does one find out? I could have taken him as an infant to an allergist but I didn't. I feed him yogurt and he got sick, swelled up and couldn't breath. Well off to the ER. But it gives you the idea that no matter what the drug or immunization, someone somewhere will have a negative reaction. It is regrettable, but not actually avoidable. No malise, no cover up, just a negative reaction and it comes down to the math of it. I don't say that the 700 people are of no consequence, it is regrettable. But the consequences of the diseases without the immunization dwarfs the group who has negative side affects.

Look up the effects of rubella and the number of cases during the 50's and 60's. 700 is insignificant. It would take more than 100 years to reach the number in a single year that had major effects including the still born and those who were born with damaged hearts. It is an insignificant number when you consider the number of people affected when there was no immunization for the disease.
