Who says they are turning out to see Obama. Usually there's some pop star (aging or otherwise) that comes on first and plays a few songs. That's the only reason people show up to an Obama rally!

"The economy added 243,000 net jobs in January, the most in nine months. The unemployment rate dropped for the fifth straight month, to 8.3 percent, the lowest in nearly three years."

NO. IT. DIDN'T.

It LOST 2.7m jobs.

The so-called net gain was after SEASONAL ADJUSTMENT, aka, the government's manipulation of the real numbers.

I said Obama liberalism; more correctly I should have said "modern democrat party liberalism". I guess when you've been shilling long enough for failed policies and failed ideals you eventually see through the smoke and mirrors if you're intelligent enough to do so.

Plus, in Beckel's case, he was obviously (as a FNC contributor) exposed to what Beck talked about more than a year ago regarding the rise of Islam. It's easy to dismiss someone as cuckoo ... but it's harder to do that when they are proven right later on.

Not every liberal is stupid. Some of them do figure it out eventually.

Nothing -- he figured out two years ago that Obama liberalism was all a lie. You could see it mid-late 2009 when he was a guest on Hannity's show -- he stopped making reasoned arguments and started using ad hominem attacks. You only do that when you know there are no facts to argue.

Beckel may be misguided; he may be a fool for being a liberal, but he isn't stupid. His manner and demeanor today simply prove that he's figured out that the Emperor is wearing no clothes...

You miss the point; if they can't stop spending the easy $32B, how are they going to stop spending the horrendously difficult $2T ?

You know I've been surprised by the recent 9-0 decisions from the court. Wouldn't surprise me if this was 9-0 also. Remember, the issue here isn't union dues, it is forced union dues which are about as anti 1st amendment as you can get, and everyone knows it. The recent 9-0 decisions have also been "no brainers" so, there is hope still...

And that has what to do with this? Portugal is not alone: Greece, Italy, Spain and Ireland are headed the same way. Heck, Greece is WAY ahead of Portugal. But Portugal is the only one that decriminalized drugs.

Ergo, no connection.

I don't buy into this Romney inevitability at all.

Sooner or later, people start dropping out, and we need to see where those votes go. Those backing Santorum and Gingrich sure as heck aren't moving into Romney's column. Same for the Ron Paul supporters.

I also don't for a minute believe that any of those 3 would endorse Romney if they dropped out.

Utterly false. Portugal decriminalized every drug. Drug use WENT DOWN.

I'll leave it as an exercise to the readers to discuss why... (hint: free market).
