It's a great idea to combine everything Alison. I always use a price comparison website to check my weekly shopping and I have a price book too so we might go to other stores for deals if they benefit us. We brought a load of Beans the other day from a corner shop because they were a brand we like and were only 20p for a big tin. It was a such a saving we couldn't pass it up lol.

It's a great idea, I just don't know if for us it is worth it. The peace of mind of knowing that I don't pay for my shopping in December just makes everything seem easier somehow.

Whilst I might not understand the complexities that happen to the internal structure when freezing potatoes or other foods I do regularly bulk cook potatoes and freeze them Rodney and they taste pretty good. I'd invite you round to try one if you weren't a stranger off the internet.

I tried these too, and I thought they were great but they aren't what they claim to be. They may be fluffy inside, but they aren't the same as an oven baked jacket potato because what makes an oven baked jacket potato isn't the fluffy insides, as that can easily be replicated with a fork and a bit of butter but the crispy skin.

Thanks for letting me know that you like them though, if you are interested in stocking up my local Co-op has them on offer at the moment so I suspect if you went to your local Co-op you may find the same deal.
