You're welcome!  I really loved this book, and in fact mentioned Nouwen's "Life of the Beloved" today to a young man whom I'm spiritually directing.

Hi Deb!  I am one of the two who took vows on Saturday.  I was also thinking, in the ceremony, how it is similar to the Benedictine oblation process too.

I didn't know that you went through Dave's school. I'd love to be able to do that.

I'm enjoying her book a lot; very practical guidance, and it's giving me a lot of good ideas and making me stop and think about how poorly I normally listen.

Yeah, I love that about Nouwen. His book on leadership, In the Name of Jesus, should be required reading for all Christian leaders, especially pastors.
