Finally, in conclusion, do not forget the police themselves are trying to make an example of anyone even remotely involved with this. They want this over with quickly. They are hurting right now (justly) and want revenge. They don't care how they get it (nature of revenge) or who goes down as long as it looks good on paper. Let's make sure that whoever is guilty, is guilty and whoever isn't, isn't. I would hate to see a good man get convicted for reasons other than guilt.

Rickey was a family man and a good one. His family came first. He NEVER would have done anything to jeopardize his ability to be with his family. Maybe I am wrong. 13 years is a long time and we all change. But the Rickey I knew, could not , would not be associated with this. He would be too afraid of getting dragged in like he is now. I only hope that time will show me to be right in my judgement of Rickey, Lord knows all of you blood thirsty folks out there are ready for a good old LYNCHING.

I knew Rickey Hinton. He worked for me about 13 years ago as a cook in a restaurant I ran. He was an extremely hard working man, he was conscientous and reliable. He had a run in with the law. but I never knew what for. His only goals at that time were to take care of his family and to avoid ever being on the wrong side of the law again. I am sure all of you, who want his "head on a platter" and the like, have your reasons. You might even be correct in your beliefs. BUT, the man I knew could not have done what he is accused of. I can't help but feel his grandchild is correct in saying that the Davis' are the ones who should be in jail, not Rickey.
