Fortune tellers? Ah, well then that settles it, doesn't it?

Hugo always seems to be overcompensating for something. Something very small, I presume.

While working Americans have lost their jobs or have at least been denied annual pay raises in recent years, universities have been raising tuition non-stop every year. Professors get raises, support staff get raises, and athletic coaches are paid millions of dollars. And for what? For producing a bunch of whiny, lazy, self-absorbed students, most of whom have no idea what it means to earn what you receive. And we're supposed to take pity on the whole lot? Ridiculous!

This is very good news for the people of Taiwan. The communist government on the mainland has had hundreds of missiles aimed at Taiwan for many years and has always maintained that the People's Republic "owns" Taiwan. In truth, Japan and the United States would both have a more valid claim if they chose to make it, which of course they do not.

If the good people of Taiwan ever choose to submit to the People's Republic, that is their choice. But for them to be forced to surrender their independence is simply not acceptable by anyone's standard, except of course for the communists on the mainland.

News Flash: Michael Jackson is still dead.

Apparently that "rising on the third day" thing didn't work out for him.

It's just proof that the human body can only hold so much meanness before it rebels. But not to worry, Hank, the Canadian doctors will be happy to see you sometime in 2012.

We can expect the "outlaw guns!" crowd to chime in on this right away. This was a convicted felon (not allowed to even own a gun) attempting to commit murder. This was not a peaceful, licensed, law-abiding gun owner.

I'm a 23-year military veteran who is a gun owner, a Christian, generally opposed to abortion-on-demand, and a firm believer in the 1st, 2nd and 10th amendments. Now I pick up the newspaper and find that I'm also a potential terrorist. Thanks a lot, lady.

Okay, let's review: Leona Helmsley didn't pay her taxes and she went to jail. Martha Stewart didn't pay her taxes and she went to jail. If I didn't pay my taxes, I'd likely go to jail. Obama's buddies don't pay their taxes and they get a free pass so they can dictate policy to the rest of us. Oh, we are SO screwed!
