I\'ve finished marking your papers but haven\'t yet worked out the average mark. I will do that as soon as possible, hopefully before the beginning of next week. Please bear with me. Thank you.

I'm posting the text below on behalf of Maria-Gabriela Radu:

We like our clouds on our sky

The strange thing is that I only ask myself if I’m happy when I’m most definitely not. Someone asked me what is the role of grey clouds on a light-blue sky.
What makes me happy, a friend asked me once. I found it to be a mind-blowing question as I was stunned by the simpleness of that question and the raised difficulty of answering it even to myself. Since then I keep asking myself whenever I feel lost and lazy and down so that I get beck on track.
Our feelings change very fast so as happiness is a state of spirit it will not last as well. Enjoy the moment, not in the past or future but in the present Can u work at yourself in order to achieve some personal skills? If that so, why not work to be happy in similar way?
Happiness is from my awareness a state of spirit. It could be synthesized as a drug or be taught by repeating it sufficient times? I think that its state of not lasting gives the answer. We can convince ourselves to feel less down by doing or remembering things that made us happy at a certain moment, much like we do with the positive and nourishing objects we surround with, but that can last only as much, as what is not real doesn’t stand the test of time. We can simulate and keep on only as much as we trust it to work.
I try as much as possible to be decisive in dealing with unhappy moments. It is strange to see how complaining and feeling miserable for many yeas makes it difficult to be optimistic about life on a daily basses afterwards. I agree to the fact that our mind works in the past or future. Dealing with life in present can be challenging as the brain should give control to our soul and not keep it reasoned. Letting go and enjoying every experience as it comes seems like a beautiful sugarcoated dream that seems likely to stay a dream than to crash and burn in real life. For me acceptance works, and the idea that being happy can be something learned, well…..

Overall I can say I agree with many ideas that were said in that interview, there were more general notions that I consider correct. The good part is that it made me think more about wether I am happy as I can be and doing as much as possible to keep on being so.

The following is posted on behalf of Kun Erika:

Is it true that, in genera,l people tend to think in a negative way?

According to the video, human evolution makes us remember negative things and anticipate what can go wrong, rather than enjoy every moment, admire the beauty of nature and spend unique moments with the ones we love.

Therefore, besides the methods proposed by the scientists, we can also be happy if we give up on bad thoughts and negative attitudes, and focus on simple, small things that make us happy in our everyday lives.

For example, during a busy day, a smile can make your work easier and more enjoyable.

Coincidence? I'm actually preparing to go to Prague ... for a third time :). The excitement is present and I hope it lasts even after I get there. But having to fly and change planes to get there and back home does not make me happy though.

I have to agree with you, Eliza: it doesn't resemble common interviews (although it complies with the original definition of it: an inter-view as a form of mutual sight, 'interacting' with someone who is not necessarily a reporter), it needs digesting and is compelling. I don't know what to say about the Einstein resemblance ... a younger Einstein, for that matter :) .

Thank you, Ioana. [Did you mean "testing" or "tasting" Murphy's laws? Both sound fun anyway :) ]

Thanks a lot for the nice words, Elena! I'm sure you know that the learning experience does/should not end when the English course is over.
