I would like to thank my congressman, Mr. Jared Polis of Colorado's 2nd, for voting 'No.' And while I'm at it, I may as well thank Diana DeGette from next door (Colorado's 1st). You guys proved better than any conservative ever could how spineless and ignorant you are.

I guess you didn't much bother reading my comment clearly. Glenn Beck is a libertarian. He is not a Republican.

As for the out of context part--if you listened to the whole clip, you also hear "I had such compassion for them." and "All the 3,000 victims' families, I don't hate all of them, I hate about ten of them." Then he explains that they are annoying because, as it says above, "they're always complaining" even though "we did our best for them."

I suppose you think Keith Olbermann is the model media darling?

I read it. It should be very enlightening for our New-Deal-2.0-supporting friends.

There are all kinds of numbers floating around. As best I can tell, 2,976 is the right one, but it's the symbolism that really counts. The 3,000+ number reflects people reported missing who might or might not have died or disappeared as a result of the tragedy, and the 19 hijackers.

And what does the five year old, out-of-context quote from a libertarian have to do with this article?

This is a more accurate representation of Governor Perry's quote:

##
Perry called his supporters patriots. Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

"There's a lot of different scenarios," Perry said. "We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot."

And I might also mention that AuroraSeven probably hasn't read the Constitution if he thinks we live in a Democracy.
