360Sync.com : Post E3: Left 4 Dead 2 Hands-on

I agree with you that it would be far too much (and too expensive) to offer all of L4D2's content via XBLM. I'd love for Valve to offer something to the effect of the Rock Band series' export function, perhaps allowing the original to be on the hard drive and accessible through L4D2. Not going to happen, just wistful thinking. From what I've seen, I think I'll be getting this one. Pretty darn sure. I should lay off the original for a while to build up an appetite for more zombie slaying. Honestly, if this game was coming out in 2010, I think people would have much less of a problem with it. Maybe some uncertainty of the over-saturation of the genre like the music rhythm genre has (which I'm very happy about and thankful for).

360Sync.com : Guitar Hero Smash Hits Demo Available

A bit late, but to anyone interested who didn't know, it's out there. There are some distinct changes to the note charting for each song. Especially considering none of the three were master tracks (so there were added solos in "Woman" and "Rock and Roll All Night." Should definitely check it out. As I get more involved in Rock Band DLC, this becomes less and less of a "must-buy" for me. Especially with the Iron Maiden track pack that just came out. "Hallowed Be Thy Name (Live)" is one of the best songs in any music rhythm game. I still maintain that Machine Head's cover of it is better (one of my favorite songs ever), but it is still amazing.

360Sync.com : "I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost!"-Ghostbusters Review

Really good review, I'm happy to hear they actually put a good game underneath the fan service and inside jokes. Often (though not recently as much), 3rd-person action games based on movies have terrible design and wonky physics. They just cannot stand up against their contemporary big hitters. Good to hear this looks to change that.

360Sync.com : Dead Rising 2 Not Coming to E3 [Updated]

I, like many people, am looking forward to this sequel, and am disheartened by it not being there. But honestly, it's better than a really poor, buggy demo. I didn't know that three staffers will be at E3. That's fricken awesome. I'm looking forward to the coverage.

360Sync.com : New DLC Announced For Fallout 3

Like a true procrastinator, I've been holding off on picking up any DLC for this great game. But now that the level cap is raised, I'll be picking up all three (Broken Steel first). I may see what the Game Add-on Pack is retailing for to save a few bucks. It'll probably be the same, but perhaps.

360Sync.com : GHWT: Pop Rock Track Pack

Honestly, zero interest in this whatsoever. But that's a good thing. I like that there's a broad appeal in both this and Rock Band and the developers recognize that and don't try to flood it with a certain genre (even though certain - disliked - genres feel over saturated).

I'm not sold on the game right now, because of how little I actually know about what the game will have. It's been said that it's not just another RB and will be a different type of game. What that means beyond setlist, I don't know. So no preorder for me. And I have no plans to buy any more plastic guitars. I'm fine with the X-plorer. If I were getting anything, I'd be modding my GH:WT drums. But I'm fine for now.

360Sync.com : Marvel vs Capcom 2

I already own this game, only it's for Dreamcast. Because of how fantastic and fun and brutally challenging this game is, it is well worth the $15 to have it accessible when my antiquated Sega systems are not. A definite purchase, though I'm already backed up on XBLA games. From last year and this year too. Too much to play, and I have three weeks to wait before I can get back on the 360. My addiction is warming up (and my DS died on me), it may start to boil if I get any more great news.

I'll probably be picking up GH: Smash Hits, so I won't get "Take Me Out" - though I want to - but nostalgia may (will) force me to get "Smooth Criminal." Just a heads up for all those with GH: WT who haven't heard, there's a free three-song DLC pack that comes out on the 5th or the 7th.
360Sync.com : XBLA Today Returns: Banjo-Tooie, Virtual-On OT, and Sorry!

When I get back to the States and my 360, I'll be picking up Virtual-On: OT the first chance I get. I played the prequel port on Sega Saturn (for those who've forgotten, a legendary system by the way) and loved it. It's a simple concept, but a fun challenging arcady style makes it well worth the price. And considering I loved the original on a Saturn controller (one D-pad and no sticks, the view controlled by the L, R, X and Z buttons), I'm dying for my return in 3 weeks. Tooie I'm excited for too, and I've got my relatively little played GH: Metallica to really dive into. Got a ton to play.

360Sync.com : GH: Smash Hits Track List Rd. 2

There are a few songs I would cut ("Trippin' on a Hole," "Woman," "Freya," maybe "Cherry Pie"). But it's a very strong representation of only the non-bonus tracks in the game. Honestly I wish they would do some of the bonus tracks as in GH2 and 3, they are some of the best songs in each game. The only one they'll put in is "Through the Fire and Flames," which I don't want at all. Another good selection has me more and more favorable to this title. We'll see when the time comes how it actually works out. I'm thinking pretty well.

360Sync.com : GH: Smash Hits Set List Update

It's not a perfect list but it's definitely one that has me much more interested in the game (plus my newfound love for the drums). Metallica was definitely a hit for me, just picked it up a couple days ago. It appears that the list leaked a couple months back is accurate as all the songs from this update and the last sync up. If that's the case, then I'm probably going to get this at some point.

360Sync.com : First Songs From Guitar Hero: Smash Hits

I've gotta agree with Donski. There will be some recharting, not a lot because I'm sure they won't want to step on too many toes of people who can FC these songs in their sleep. To have full band on some of these songs will be amazing. However, the big selling point for me in a lot of cases, is the master track element. The Killer Queen cover in the first GH was terrible, just awful. To have the original by one of my favorite bands is damn compelling for me. It's going to depend on the rest of the tracks but the first 1/4 are pretty darn good picks on the whole (10 are solid at least). As far as the price tag, ya, I'm not thrilled, but then again there's the DLC argument - if these songs were put up at normal prices (I'll even throw the 6 for $10 deal in there), it'd be $80 total. So there is value. Plus, especially with a version like this, I think it won't be too long before some official price cuts and being eBay savvy could save you $20 or so pretty close to release.
