And my point is it's not the American Government's mandate Constitutionally speaking to take care of the poor OR the middle class. According to Lynden Johnson his "Great Society" programs were supposed to eliminate poverty in a generation. Those programs constituted redistribution of wealth,so tell me is poverty eliminated in America? I don't want to know how many people existing on government giveaways have big screen plasma tv's,because plenty of them do,I want to know if the numbers of poor porportionally have gone down since the 1960's.You liberals can convince yourselves all you want that giving a corrupt entity like the US Government the thumbs up to take money from private citizens who make some arbitrary number they dream up and can change up OR down at any time,but I say it's SOCIALISM straight up and the only thing really accomplishes is giving the Government more power and control over ALL the people !!!
