I need this. I am familiar with the concept and have done semi-informal group meetings before, and participate in a couple now. But they are far too high on the informal, and not enough on getting things done. I achieved far less success (what that means to me) in 2010 than I should have, and need to step things up. There is too much I still want to do for mothers and myself to continue at this rate, so I'm going to use this post.

Everything about the show was fantastic. Except the pace. I fully understand why they cancelled it. I wanted to watch it for the conspiratory aspect of the teasers. But it just moved soooo slow... I'm sad the story will be left unfinished (I watched all episodes), but I understand the decision.

I want to read the book because it sounds like what I need to help apply non-BS business practices to the years of programming I've had. I have a good head start, but what I've heard of the book so far, it sounds like more info I could use to help others get out of that nonsensical way of doing business ("because that's how it's always been done"). And when I've absorbed it, I can pass it along to one of my readers.

I have to admit that the only film of his I've seen is "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou". I've watched it twice, and am still trying to figure out if I like it. But I guess I liked it enough to watch it a second time. It was just an odd film. So I didn't hate it, I just am not sure I'm really getting it. I can think of a few similar films that give me that same feeling, though there are plenty I would not watch a second time. I am looking forward to Greenberg.
