Nick's blog : Stupid website security policies and ways to protect your passwords

Show me how any particular site giving users the option of using a strong password is not beneficial. Key word, optional. What I am saying in the post is that a lot of sites that handle sensitive information don't have enough security options for users who care enough about the security of their information. Obviously different people have different needs, which is why I stress that these security options should be optional for the user. I don't care about the minimum length requirements of passwords— some people don't want to be burdened, I get that. But limiting the maximum length requirement of passwords has nothing to do with burdening people or policies. Registrants should be free to choose how long or how short their passwords are, and optionally, free to choose additional security measures such as OpenID or a security key.

Nick's blog : Understanding your past

When I go to this post, it just shows two comments that I made a long time ago which I've deleted since, which yet still remain; "This comment has been deleted by the user." And I have to click on Sort by "Last Activity" or "Rating" in order for the rest of the comments to show. I'm also having serious problems with Intense Debate using Safari. All of that and Intense Debate kinda screwed up the footer of each of my posts.

ParisLemon : On the Palm Pre

It seems just as awesome without any third-party software. The UI is really nice, and intuitive/functional— far more usable than the current iPhone. Still, l hope Palm attracts a large number of app developers.

Stephen Chinnadorai : MediaTemple Have Created Their Own Viral Evangelists

Ya, it makes sense for big huge blogs like TechCrunch and Mashable to use services like MediaTemple, but for the average blogger, MediaTemple is probably overkill. Personally, I have yet to have any problems with DreamHost, and I get PLENTY (now... more than you know ;-) of bandwidth and storage space. I like my DreamHost :-) Of course, every one will have a different experience with their host. Don't want to sound like Captain Obvious, but it all depends on what you need.

Thinking about writing a book or something, not just on this topic, but on everything I've written before and everything I'm going to write later. Baby steps. One post at a time. Still got like 6 or 7 really good posts that I need to finish writing. I like writing :-)

The Drobo is the best backup solution out there when combined with Time Machine, but too bad its $500 not including the cost of the hard drives you need to make the Drobo work.

Stephen Chinnadorai : Megapixels Mean Nothing

I also manage an iPhone-only photography group on flickr (the one Stephen mentioned below) and some (most) of the photos that people have been taking with their iPhones are amazing compared to even some of the more advanced cameras out there. But it still depends on a whole ton of things.
