Big Hollywood : The Adventures of Globalman

Poor Superman got tired of fighting for the American way. Next time you come back you better have a green card for working here. There was a time that there was nothing more American than Superman, but that has come to pass. I guess all those years of being surrounded by liberal journalists got to him and Clark probably got brainwashed working for the Daily Planet. And yet Clark is staying a US citizen. Sorry DC I'm calling you out. You can't have it both ways. No wonder Batman has been at odds with him for so long. He realized the red, white and blue was just red. At least he won't to fly around with a US flag in his arms and feel bad about it.

Big Government : General Motors: The Wheels Are Coming Off the Cart(s)

GM is never going to turn a profit if they had to look at the taxpayer owed money as debt on their books. Like most businesses, a loan is to be repaid and I don't see GM making any efforts to do that. The whole "we paid back the TARP funds" for another loan is just an accounting trick but it is still a loan. GM needs to look at their UAW contracts if they want to turn a profit, and that is not going to happen. When they do flush GM, how much will the taxpayers lose?

Big Government : Obama's Tax Increase Trigger: Punishing Taxpayers with Automatic Tax Hikes When Politicians Overspen

Remember the old tax code simplification formula: 1.) How much money did you make?_______ 2.) Send it in. We are getting closer to this every day, and now the lawmakers want to hit us up if they overspend. Let me see how this could possibly curb spending by dimwits like Chuck "U Farley" Schumer. This is letting the inmates run the asylum.

Big Government : Chicago Kids: Get Your Hands Off My Lunchbox!

Raising a kid that is a picky eater makes this impossible to accept. There are 2-3 days a month where she will not eat the lunch provided by her school, so she brings her lunch. We are happy to pack a lunch for her, but there is no way I would let a school bureaucrat force her to starve. If they don't like my choice, they can use their food police to compare the lunch she brings versus the school lunch any day of the week. Let's see them apply that same rule to the faculty and any visitors, and see where they get. Imagine if they forced the adults to go without their unhealthy coffee and soda while at school. Sorry, but we only have milk, juice and water.

Big Government : Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's First 100 Days

I voted for Walker when he ran for Milwaukee County Executive back in 2002, and he has been a champion for fiscal restraint and smaller government. When he ran for Governor, I was happy to get someone who would apply the same values to our state that was out of control. Wisconsin is learning to deal with the mess from the past, and we will be a better state because of it. The first 100 days came with a lot of complaining and underhanded tactics from the left, but I support him for all the hard work. Thanks Scott, and keep up the good work. The people of Wisconsin are backing you.

Big Government : No Conspiracy In Wisconsin Supreme Court Election, Brookfield Vote Totals Posted On Election Night B

I love to see the Huff and Puff have to back up its own people when they see the lack of an election conspiracy. The big issue for all voters is the lack of faith in the system. This past Wisconsin election has made me think about getting active in the process. After listening to the reports of fraud the day after the election, how can we believe in an honest election? 2012 is too close to let this matter go unchecked.

This type of AP debacle begs the question, "Who watches the watchmen?". We have a biased media, and now the AP doesn't bother to double check its figures. The election process needs an overhaul, but the reporting needs to be done differently. Maybe the results could be updated online for all to see, and the media gets its info from the website like the rest of us.

Big Government : Conspiracy Characterizes Reaction to Uncounted Waukesha Votes

Having voted in Waukesha County, I thought the numbers were suspect from the start. One thing to remember is that the vote tallies that were reported to the AP were incorrect. These are not official numbers, but the numbers she reported to the county were correct. The reality is that the media in its hurry to get the final results got a bad number, and I didn't see them making sure it was correct. This happens regularly in elections when the final canvas is reported. Sure this was a big swing in votes, but Kathy got the numbers right when she reported it to the county. The system needs to be reworked, and the media needs to get its numbers from the county.

I was worried when the election was within 300 votes, but I'll take the 7000+ for insurance. Hopefully, this will put WI back on track for having a bright future.
Big Government : Wisconsin Supreme Court Candidate Reveals Inadequacy At Debate

Kloppenburg's lack of experience should have prevented her from running in the first place. She has the backing of the Chief Justice Abrahamson who recently let it slip that Prosser and her had words behind closed doors back in early 2010. Nothing like slimy tactics to make that public, but Kloppenburg did intern for the Chief Justice. This will be one of the bigger elections when it comes to shaping the state of Wisconsin for the next few years. Hopefully people get out and vote for Justice Prosser.

Big Government : Triple Bottom Line: Global Progressive Movement's Push to Undermine Capitalism

UN = United Nitwits. They are the culmination of the seediest and corrupt parts of government rolled into an international entity. If you are big enough (China), they look the other way. Why the US continues to send any money in their direction is the real question. I would like to see an example of the usefulness of the UN. How's Global Warming working out for you? 3BL is a means to spread their thinking to the planet. Why don't they just call it global business socialization or global bs for short? What happens when the profit part is minimized to create more emphasis on planet and people? Oh yeah, that's right, we call that government!

Big Government : ShoreBank and the 'Triple Bottom Line': Too Important to Fail?

Shorebank and other banks that follow this strategy need to be removed from the protection of the FDIC. They would be lucky if anyone uses them if that were the case. They are trying to justify the ability to give bad loans with no accountability if the borrowers default because they had good intentions. The projects they take on may be high risk, but that's okay for them if they have positive economic or environmental impact. Do they think they are an arm of the government?

Big Government : Democrats Pursue New Tactics in War on Energy Companies

Freudian slip for the record, but I was thinking about cap and tax at the same time. Honestly, if the Nissan Leaf gets 100 miles per charge, and the "Vote" only 40, who will want to spend more money for less mileage - the environmentally friendly people? What if you run the AC or heater do you only get 4? Better not plug in that Ipod it will cost you another 2 miles. Personally, I see people charging the cars every few days and running on gas the rest of the time. Why? Because the gas is one fill up while the battery charge is daily.

Long time conservative and soccer player, and what does this make me? Racist or just confused? I admit soccer is not an easy game to watch for a casual fan, but politics and sports do not go hand in hand. If that was true, then only Democrats would play sports where they don't keep score. That way no one gets their feelings hurt. If you want to see how big the fan base is for soccer check this out...lego highlights of the US-England game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M8cJBvnlnw&fe...

No, but if you watched the MSM, there was widespread anger and resentment of the law.
