/Film : First Look: Kristen Stewart's Joan Jett Look For The Runaways

I'm not completely sold on the casting for this movie, so I'm reserving judgement for the time being. I honestly don't see Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and nothing she's done has made me believe she'll transform, she pretty much plays the same character in every movie. I think Dakota is a better actress, but we'll see how well she portrays Currie. I am glad she's taking on some different type roles now that she's getting older; you can only play the kidnapped kid so many times. LoL

/Film : Will Hayao Miyazaki Appear at Comic-Con?

I'm very much looking forward to Ponyo that'll be a trip into LA for me and the kid though I hoping it plays in Pasadena. Miyazaki is by far my favorite animated director/storyteller his movies are truly fantastic. I recommend his films to everyone whenever the subject comes up or I bring it up. The kid and I have had his movies on rotation over the last month.

/Film : Cool Stuff: Back to the Future Courthouse Square Wedding Cake

Wedding cakes are ridiculously expensive, so if I was going to spend the money on a cake I'd go for something like this or maybe something Star Wars related. As it is when I got married a couple of years ago I opted for a dessert bar, which was a hell of a lot less than a wedding cake that almost no one eats anyway.

/Film : Rob Cohen Goes Medieval, Drops xXx Sequel

Damn it, now we'll get another fantasy/action/adventure pile of bad CGI and probably a string of bad to mediorce actors. Not that having McG direct was that much better, but Rob Cohen is definitely a step down.

/Film : Rumor Mill: The Rock To Star in Commando Remake? Megan Fox as The New Vampire Slayer?

It wouldn't be so terrible that Megan Fox's name is being tossed for every female lead movie if she could act, but she can't, it's horrible. She also says some pretty crazy things in interviews the girl does not come off as very bright. I would rather not see a Commando remake, but it'll be made regardless. Dwayne Johnson in the role would be fine by me, but he hasn't seemed interested in becoming an action star looking at his recent movies.

Michael Bay is a smart man, who's managed his career well and while I actually enjoy many of his action flicks, I wish he could tell a good story. I think he tried with The Island, got bored and decided to turn it into one of his popcorn action movies.

Film School Rejects : Sid & Marty Want Depp for 'PufnStuf'

I love Sid & Marty Croft's creations; growing up they were a large source of TV entertainment as a kid. However, making a movie based H.R. PufnStuf is an awful, awful idea. I still crack up watching those old episodes, but I don't think it's something that can be recreated. I wish they would leave it alone.

/Film : Actor David Carradine Found Dead

He had a wonderful presence on both the small and big screens. Growing up the family would watch Kung Fu every week during its run; it was a family favorite. I loved his performance in Kill Bill and whenever David Carridine popped up in a movie it was a treat. My thoughts go out to his family.

/Film : Lemony Snicket Sequel Could Be Stop-Motion Animated?

This is a fantastic idea!! I would much rather see this series continue in stop motion than live action. In fact, they should have gone that route in the first place. Not that I didn't enjoy the live action movie it had its merits, but it wasn't a very good adaptation of the first three books.

I remain highly skeptical. I'm not a huge fan of modernized Shakespeare and Hardwicke directing? I don't know the material might be a little too deep for the director. My knee jerk reaction on this news says, "Fuck this project."

So, yes, I can say I'm looking forward to seeing how this movie turns out even if Tracy Morgan has part, the man has never been funny to me.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the trailer, but Bella actually saying "paper cut" was lame I think an "ow" and then showing the blood would have sufficed and then the CGI wolf, ugh, WAY too cartoonish and cuddly. Though the way Jacob explodes into the wolf is cool, but then yeah, let down....I hope they can improve on that effect - he needs to look more real and intimidating.
