Begging the question of whether or not proposition P is true
is asserting P⇒P (which is a tautology).
Here, P is the proposition “Brian Williams is an ignoramus.”

However, if Q is the proposition "Brian Williams does not know what begging the question means", then
asserting Q⇒P is not begging the question.

I am struck that the (Rep,Dem)-by-(tea party support,oppose) matrix

is almost perfectly symmetric. Each of the (Rep,Dem) answer and the (support, oppose) answer predicts the other with almost exactly the same precision.

I have never understood the tendency to respect a mass weltanschauung (such as organized religion) just because it calls itself a religion. Religion is just another way to rationalize mass evil. It has played that role time and again throughout history.
