You're back among the swaying fronds of the jungle? Wow, you get around quickly. Good to hear from you and my regards to South America!

I'd like to hear a bit of first person description about the subcutaneous Velcade. Any reaction to the injection site? Will you update to one of the new analog polyamines when they're available? If you'd like to write a personal experience piece, I'd be happy to post it here. Maybe 300 words? Let me know!

Thank you Ron. Yep, it's a heck of a thing and I'm really glad to hear about you apparent success (remission!). My best wishes and hopes that you will stay in remission permanently!

I looked up distributors for the EW-36 and found ActiveForever.com as a highly reviewed Amazon Marketplace seller. They also had high reviews in a number of other sites I looked them up on. But they didn't offer the scooter through Amazon, so I bought it from their website. They offered free shipping, by the way, saving me $114 that Amazon sellers were charging. Here is a link: http://www.activeforever.com/p-26642-ewheels-ew-3...

I note the price went up $100 just since I bought mine, for which I paid $1,601.84. That was delivered to my door. I paid an extra $2 for rush order processing, and I received my scooter in 7 days from order. I think the two bucks sped up delivery by one or even two weeks.

Thanks Sean!
I'm sorry to hear of your situation, it seems as though many of my acquaintances are suffering relapse, including myself. The sad truth is that there aren't a lot of choices available to us in trying to combat our cancer. The limited tools we have are getting better, but the improvement seems to be mostly in reducing collateral side effects --or increasing short term response. Sadly, the same general statistics with our illness haven't significantly changed in half a decade. Then too, dealing with people who are particularly sensitive to thalidomide, bortezomib and their analogs have virtually no options at all. In my case, I am not only sensitive to those compounds but to steroids as well. This removes me as a candidate for stem cell transplant. Yet as my team reaches out to other oncologists for consult, they invariably state that I should be started on a standard combination chemotherapy course in spite of the evidence that such action would likely be fatal. Because of this, I tend to believe that there are physicians who're highly skilled in the treatment of Multiple Myeloma, but I can't call them experts. I don't believe that we yet know enough for anyone to qualify as one. You have my best wishes and hope for improvement. Please check in and let us know how things are going for you as you continue your efforts.

No disagreements at all. There is a difference between making people aware of what's out there --and personally recommending a specific supplement to a specific person. I have no issue with any compound that is taken with one's doctor's approval. So, I have no issue with your articles and I'm glad they're out there.

Welcome back to the land of plenty. Plenty of what, I'm not sure. But welcome and Merry Christmas, Happy Chanuka (Hanukkah?) and similar emotes.

The links don't take you anywhere, instead they trigger and action on the website related to the icon. Facebook, for instance, simply stores the information that you "like" the post. Google does similar, calling it a +1.

The current drugs in the pipe do hold some promise, but the fact is that the new drugs are mere support for current drug protocols. We are bolstering existing drugs rather than deriving new treatments altogether. At least, that is how it appears to me. The whole point being that we all have a long way to go before cancers become inconvenient rather than deadly. Much of the emotional burden we victims carry results from the lack of surety there is in the medical field, while we have to invest all of our faith in it. That's a pretty tentative situation. So that's why I think that the field should try harder to orient itself to the truth: people who have all of the pertinent information available are going to make better choices about their treatments and approach to treatment --and life. One of the reasons I like your writing is that you maintain a positive attitude while not suppressing facts.

Keep up the good thoughts and actions, Pat. And keep on writing!
