Nope, I'm Estonian. I've been only in Almaty, then Alma -Ata, Kazakhstan in the -stans area. And only once as a child, for a skiing trip, they have resort called Chimbulak in the mountains above the city. Nearly 30 y ago I went there with my mom it was 2-3 rusty lifts and nothing else. Mountains were gorgeous, but it was tough trip. Also, I somehow still remember how awful their national drink, kumys (horse milk) is.....

Great to have you here. I've been occasionally visiting your blog, but until you started to write for Hooniverse I didn't know that "Timur" hero figure is Tamerlane in English. I was thinking that's your family name...also, karakul lake, do you have some roots in -stans?

What I was talking about was blinker which, when not working, is amber/orange colored. All blinkers certainly when working are orange but outer glass or plastic is not of that color anymore. Lincoln above has clearly visible amber colored turn signals. New cars don't have those.

I'm trying here to figure out if there is one new car available in Europe that has visible amber turn signals and I suspect the right answer is NO. Some half moped-half car thingies maybe, but real cars? All have moved on, to cleaner look.
I suppose laws which govern old car import have also been updated and that PITA job of adding additional amber lights has been eliminated. When importing car from US or NA one still maybe has to put amber bulbs into reversing light sockets and connect these to turn signals but that can also depend where in europe car will be registered.
This Lincoln is probably from the era when Euro-models of American cars still had mandatory amber turn signals.

Patrol at least should have... whatshouldIcallit...aux. mech. power output? I've been wondering if it was used for something too IRL. I understand it was basically gimmick to get tax break on SUV but in theory there could be some interesting machinery one could attach.
Rotating brush? Fertiliser/sh*t spreader? Miniature excavator? Any photos of such equipment?

Couple of days ago, quite near to my home:

Poor Škoda Roomster was parked so that strong northern wind + waves from unusually ice-free sea managed to produce this result. Owner was able to clear the car in no time and drive away, newspaper reported.

You didn't put those tape strips on the head lights? I mean this LHD/RHD thing. Any angry reactions from partly blinded motorists?

PotbellyJoe wins! I thought 1969 A.C. Frua 428 Coupe would've been right answer, but no.
