I saw this film in 1963 in San Francisco when It first came out. I was a senior in high school. I have been wracking my brains for the past couple of weeks to remember the name of it, as it just popped into my mind. I'm so glad that I read this post. Holy Moly, what a coincidence! I remember the stir at the time, as it was just so different from previous war movies. Gosh, I wish there were some way to get a copy of it. legally of course.

Good lord, what did she do to her hair?! Oops, sorry, it looks like it might be a cheap wig, not her actual hair. And she thinks Sarah and Jan are dumb? LOL

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I might even go back, even though it's a 60 mile round trip for me to go to the movies. The cast was perfect.
