I trust my church government. I trust my clubs and associations government. For all these I can actually have participation in. I try to have intelligent discussions with liberals, it's impossible. The latest fray ended up with an 82 year old union Democrat repeating "you just wait" about electing Newt. There is also the ever popular refrain "well Bush did it" or it's Bushes fault". Taking back the country is going to be a long painful process. Maybe Col. West can lead us to it, but it will be ugly. I'm from Iowa. We had an ambitious and brave young Congressman by the name of Jim Nussel at one time. He went to Washington as a freshman and put a bag on his head in embarrassment on the House floor. He embarrassed the establishment that good ole Newt was running at the time. Jim Nussle was never heard of again. He was buried in committees and for the duration of his terms he was ignored! Col. West is on the same slope, unfortunately. Why hasn't McConnel brought Moran out for a public beating? Why hasn't the CBC screamed "RACISM"? Because you are right, the Washington old boys fear him and want him gone. Not just the Dems but Republicans also. Col. West is to "uppity" and needs to learn his place and yes that is racist. But for me I support his language, actions and am damm happy to have him on MY side.
