<description>Thanks for the information.  I applaud you for your sense of civic responsibility.  When you say &amp;quot;almost no one does this&amp;quot;, I can believe it, no problem.  Does that mean your polling sites are understaffed?  Does it lead to long lines, long waits?   </description>

<description>Even the position of poll worker is an elected position?  That seems like a lot of trouble--to elect  the many people who must man the polls only (presumably) once or twice a year.  And unless it paid a lot of money, who would run for the job?  I had the impression that finding sufficient poll workers was almost as hard as find sufficient jurors. </description>
