Since 1996 budget bills have all been considered under reconciliation--which means they cannot be filibustered. No cloture required, just a 51 member vote will pass it.

A House budget has been passed. The Senate--dominated by Dirty Harry Reid--will not even negotiate on it.

The GOP should shut the entire beast down until a budget has been agreed upon.

This would be the second time Obama cut Medicare. The first was the 500 million dollar cut that was required to pass Obamacare.

No, a budget does not require a supermajority. They only require 51 votes--as was demonstrated by how Obamacare was passed.

And instead of a voucher system, Medicare will be a worthless system in which no one can get health care, instead of having to contribute more to getting healthcare. Good decision!

First of all, 2011 was the first year the GOP in the House proposed the budget. For two of those three years the Democrats had a majority in both Houses, so a budget could have easily been passed. Second, a budget was proposed by the House--Harry Reid refused to even consider it in the Senate.
