It is a very short step for an ideologue like Fuller to decide to sacrifice one of his own "for the cause." Representative Giffords is lucky that this man didn't harm her himself. To some extent Fuller may now be motivated by jealousy that Loughner got there first. Anyone who has worked on a political campaign knows that volunteers can be a mixed lot. While that applies to all campaigns, Republican as well as Democrat, there has been a track record over the last dozen years of violence among the grassroots Left.

Good work by the Bureau guys. They reason to investigate him and they committed no trespass. They are allowed to open a car door. Being bit and having skin broken is extremely stressful. The Special Agents and their families must be going through hell right now waiting for the blood tests to come back. Under the circumstances I would say they showed great self control in not shooting him.

Nice looking town. If the current residents refuse to live in peace with their neighbors then they need to be removed. My suggestion is that Israel start at the extreme North-East and every time there is an attack from Gaza the Israelis should advance 1/16 of a mile, that is 0.1 km. Given that the Gaza Strip is 41 km long it would take less than 14 months to completely clear the strip using this method.

It would be reasonable to expect that after a few such advances the current inhabitants would do one of four things. They could expel Hamas and make peace with Israel, or they could abandon the strip and evacuate to Egypt, or they could abandon their pretence of sovereignty and submit to occupation by the Egyptians who could impose security under terms agreeable to Israel, or they could launch a mass doomed attack on Israel. The last would result in the strip being reoccupied and the Israelis should be clear that if that happens the current population would be expelled.

It should be clear that any Israeli advance in response to any attacks from Gaza would be a permanent return and any current inhabitants would be expelled from any territory reoccupied. An exception might be made for a few hundred who are considered captives to be liberated, mostly Christians. Call it the "Squeezing the toothpaste tube" strategy.

Pelosi read the Censure with as much dignity as one would bring to a traffic ticket.

The Fox Reporter and whoever recorded this did their jobs. They observed and recorded and reported. They did all they could not to be the story. The public can now see how the Democratic Party responds to the light of day. Now the follow up question is does the organization imperil it's tax exempt status if it restricts the right of the public to observe? On margin the Chairman walked up to that line and then backed down.

As one of the many who sent a DM about the Incredible Shrinking Penis conspiracy I can only say that Great Minds Think Alike and so unfortunately do small minds.

There are four people on that tape who now should be unable to get a job cleaning a newsroom.

I agree with you. The Princes are brave and apparently decent men. Those who serve with them accept the risk that entails. The shifting of resources from Defence to Social Welfare is a crime that others are responsible for. It is a great pity because the British are so very good at being in the military and they constantly short change it. They need to read Durkheim's "Division of Labour in Society" and then do what they do best.

Members of the Royal Family must be in high demand in the Armed Services. If they are in the room your unit is less likely to get cut. They can't even supply helicopters to support their troops in combat. The Army may be reduced to a Special Operations SWAT team that augments the police. The RAF is on the verge of being dissolved and the Royal Navy is likely to shrink to a Coast Guard.

JetBlue guy deserves to be fired and face jail time. He endangered public safety.

This girl deserves a very nice job and a guy who appreciates her.

I don't like Letterman but I think he is smart enough to try and get her on TV.
