Cycled through Gravesend a number of times; Pocahontas is buried there. Shame about all the mean-spirited comments about Brits obviously made by people who probably never left their own country.

Absolutely. To say he died in conflict reduces the meaning of those who actually have done so.

Obama will clearly win a landslide for no other reason than the fact the GOP cannot find a proper alternative. I'm disenchanted with Obama and fell he has shown contempt for the US and Britain's shared values to kowtow to the Chinese and appease the Pakistanis, but people who are stupidly voting up comments simply stating Obama will lose are blind. America has changed irrevocably. The America we grew up with is gone forever, and demographics alone mean that the minorities who were once an interest group have steadily become the majority. Time to get used to it. http://tracesofevil.com

This is terrible, but living in China for 8 years I've seen worse. Nazi flags sold alongside national flags at the Olympics. Cartoon Hitlers promoting air conditioning. Women kitted out in SS uniforms promoting catalogues. A few of them I saved and put on my site: http://tracesofevil.com

To use the incomparable crime of the 20th century in which over 5 million Jews were exterminated for one's own narrow, blinkered advantage is the ultimate obscenity. What happened to the Enlightenment and rational thought in this day and age, that Americans look to the Palins and Cains for leadership and Jews parade in camp uniforms for no other reason but to provoke? For someone who teaches history just outside Dachau KZ, this is all too much to take. http://tracesofevil.com

What an inane, ignorant comment in so many ways. What I expect from an American in this generation.

Possibly it was precipitated by guilt just before the 30th anniversary of the fascist invasion of the Falklands by his government.

The Guardian and Independent were the ones using demagogic language and insults to those who refused to buy its claims and promises of disregarding our economic sovereignty. They were shown to have been utterly wrong and yet still have yet to show any contriteness or shame in demanding we continue to willingly be enslaved within the EU yoke.
