What about the New apple TV? It keeps asking me to update, but I want to be able to jailbreak in the future. Am I OK as long as I use TinyUmbrella?

I am in the same spot. When you say that because we used spirit at one point then we have a new bootrom, is that because spirit upgrades the bootrom? That would be the only way I would have gotten the new one.

How do we check the bootrom?

I am happy to wait.. but I just don't understand why we have to. It seems strange that just because we used spirit that we can't restore with pwnagetool. I am not complaining, I am just trying to understand.

So, you can use this even if you used spirit? As long as you didn't use spirit the first time you jailbroke?
