I'm not sure why the article doesn't get into your last line of "I was addicted." To me, the flurry of sexual activity is covering up something much deeper, very damaged. It's like saying, "I'm going to fuck the pain away ... and try to force myself to forget it in the process." It's very salacious, and that girl needs psychological help (if this article is to be believed).

I completely disagree with co-sleeping due to the safety concerns, but mostly because as parents, we need to have a space of our own. I have many friends (and family!) that have to "sneak away" to the sofa, guest room, or even their own kids' rooms to be intimate! For me, a child needs to have his or her own safe place to relax and decompress, and also learn how to self-soothe and sleep independently. My daughters are exceedingly independent, confident, and adaptive, and I look at some of my clingy, dependent nieces and nephews and think, "Dear freaking GOD, why can't their parents have a moment to themselves?" (the bathroom's not even off-limits). Thanks for posting, Aprylle, because I think as mothers we need to be able to express what's worked best for us ... even when we don't agree. ;)

I completely disagree, Connie. You absolutely do NOT have to pay at an online dating site to meet someone that is honest and can commit to you! There are many free dating sites that do offer upgrades, but they're not worth it. I know people who have looked for activity partners and friendship on Craigslist (the MySpace of online "dating"), and gotten married after finding their soulmates. Most people meet their spouses at work or through friends, so it looks like you met both criteria right there.
