Sure, this story is shocking to us, but this woman knows where she lives and what she faced by 'breaking the law.' Yes, it's unfair and barbaric, but she showed great courage wearing the pants in the first place and by fighting back against the sentence.
Let's get a clue from this woman and start standing up for basic human rights in this country!

Thanks to msweig for posting the stories (in the thread) about the Obama's paying for their own rental.
I'm so happy that they're able to pay (up to) $100k for a vacation house because they've been successful in the 'American Dream'. I hope that, someday, my husband and I can afford a vacation like that. Oh wait....
I forgot the crushing tax burdens that we (and our children, and children's children) are going to have to bear.
