Hi Lucio, that is a solution that is beyond the method in this post and also requires more info about how you would like the portfolio pieces to display.

I'd recommend posting very detailed info over on http://wpquestions.com/ to have someone write you code to work with your theme.

The CSS you're looking for in the visual editor is:

html .mceContentBody {
color: gray;
background: black;
}

At least, this is what would match the website you linked to.

I don't think it's easy because I don't think most people want to read let alone write with gray on black text :)

Hi Mark,

As you note in your post, it's a pretty common method of hardening WordPress to install in an unusual directory, hide the meta generator tag, etc.

Conversely, I find it more interesting the other candidates haven't taken every precaution they could, given how I'm sure certain groups would love to take down or hack Republican candidate websites...

I was referring to barackobama.com when I said I wasn't sure :) I do say whitehouse.gov is published on Drupal.

Spencer, glad you found this helpful.

To answer your first question, Brett Terpstra has posted an excellent tutorial and sample about this: http://brettterpstra.com/adding-a-tinymce-button/

I should also write a post soon about a method I've used to add buttons to the HTML editor, for those who don't use the visual editor.

I think you could also use the method Brett writes about to add an upload/insert button to the visual editor area.

Robert, glad I could help! iNove is a great theme that will be made even better with WP3's flexible, drag and drop menus.

Hi Ashley: Sorry to hear you are having troubles. Could you send me a little more detail to josh@wpjourno.com and the URL of the site you're working on? Then I can see if there's anything I can do to help!

Tracy, I totally understand the feeling. Once a site gets locked in to one theme it can be difficult to get out of it! As for developers, I'll shoot you some ideas.

Nice post! I didn't originally realize you were traveling all the way to the D.C. rally.

I hope the rally does have an impact somehow.

"Perhaps they will realize that moderates are constituents, too, and will finally demonstrate the leadership this nation deserves."

You couldn't have put this better.

Jason, I'm starting to see your plugin being used on some really big blogs, like TNW and Nieman Journalism Lab. Congrats!
