What you've described here are the positions that Newt takes. That's why I still support his candidacy.

That's right, Stan. It's the "establishment" that's the problem. These people aren't even a "real" part of the parties. They've become a "Party" of their own. And it's THEM that we have to destroy.

I haven't watched all of the 19 debates, so maybe I missed that. But that kind of thing needs to be his overriding message. The goals are great, but "This is how we're going to get there" needs to be front and center.

Unfortunately, unless you're Barack Obama, with the "media" backing you up, "books" don't win elections. Message does. And the "message" that's gone out is merely the goals, and not so much the "plan."

I have no problem with that. My issue is that in reality, there are major forces rooted in all of these foreign countries that have plans against us, and sleeper cells within our own borders. If nothing else, the "intelligence" aspect of being involved in these countries must have some value.

Nation building, unneeded wars, and most foreign aid are all crap. But "unilateral withdrawal," simply to avoid "foreign entanglements" is just NOT a reasonable position. Not at this time, and not under these circumstances.

That is EXACTLY right. Long shot or no, if he had done that, and actually won the presidency, this country might have had its second Calvin Coolidge. It's a damn shame.

This is the only place I disagree. Romney can't afford Santorum to drop out. He needs the Conservative votes to be split. Otherwise, he's toast.
