Great podcast Missy, and interview with Ted Murphy - he has the most infectious laugh!.. interesting discussion on how bloggers are becoming more accepting of performance marketing - because of companies like Izea with socialspark: framework to support the blogger, setting the line on disclosure, and giving advertisers the tools/metrics to track performance.

I think its also the progression in technology/maturing of the affiliate offering which is making bloggers more open to affiliate, as it gets easier to refer to relevant products and services (e.g. wordpress plugins, widgets, aggregation services). The decline in CPM rates/increase in ad blindness also means they are looking for other methods of monetization... especially in the case of blog networks.
