Big Hollywood : Gamechanger?: How Would You Like to Cancel Your Obnoxiously Expensive Cable Service?

I wish you would do an article explaining EXACTLY how someone would go about getting rid of cable TV but still be able to stream shows on our TV's. Yeah, I know I can watch shows on my computer. But I have a 46 inch flat screen that I watch from the comfort of my nice, soft couch. Is there a box I can buy to allow me to stream on my big TV? I don't get it. I'd love to read an article that explains this stuff to the technically illiterate like me.

Breitbart.tv : Breitbart Rips Occupy On Huckabee

That segment exemplifies Fox News Channel's implimentation of "Fair and Balanced". Have equal numbers of liberals and conservatives discuss a topic. Let the liberals say anything they want, as long as they want, no matter how untrue it is, and refuse to challenge or counter what they say. Interrupt the conservatives and challenge their statements as mere opinion or talking points. Always end the segment with the host making some statement that promotes the liberal narrative, ridicules the conservatives, and shows gratitude to the liberals for being such swell people. Bite me.

Big Hollywood : On Reagan's Birthday, Let's Remember the Gipper's Film Career - Part 1

I liked Bedtime For Bonzo. I saw it as a kid when I used to spend Sunday afternoons watching Channel 38 and 56 out of Boston. It's a very sweet, very funny movie and Reagan plays it perfectly straight through the whole thing which just makes it even funnier. Even when I was a diehard liberal I always got pissed at people who dissed Bedtime For Bonzo because I had such fond memories of it.

Breitbart.tv : Exclusive: Breitbart Has Dinner With Bill Ayers

I don't know whether to laugh or cry after listening to that. I love Andrew Breitbart. I really do. But he comes across as such a fool in this interview it's sad. He should have nothing but contempt for these people and yet he was impressed with them instead. They will be laughing at him for a long, long time.

Breitbart.tv : Tea Party vs Occupy Violence: Mary Katharine Ham Flusters MSNBC's 'Objective' Chris Matthews

Great. Mary Katherine Hamm agrees with Chris Matthews about the spitting on Congressmen (which never happened) and hatred from the Tea Party. Wow. With strong voices like that? What chance do we have? None.

Big Hollywood : Gene Simmons: Romney Smart Enough to Avoid Tax Burden

Gene might be right, but I think he's over stating the 50%. Remember, Calista is the third wife. I think one of the reasons Marianne's attack didn't go over very well is because she really was a homewrecker. It's a little rich to watch a mistress claim she refused an open marriage with a man when she had no problem sharing him with his first wife. The fact that Newt left that shrew isn't quite as bad as him leaving the first wife for the shrew. If anything, my biggest gripe with Newt's marital history is that he ever married Marianne in the first place. What the hell was he thinking?

Big Hollywood : Politico Buries the Lede: Stephen Colbert Met with Audience Indifference in SC

I made it 12 minutes in and then couldn't take it anymore. When Luntz asked the 9 year old for his opinion I had to shut it off. I hate these Luntz focus groups because it is very depressing to see so many stupid people with their stupid opinions mouth off in their inarticulate ways about things they know nothing about. I haven't seen one of these focus groups yet that didn't make me want to crawl into bed, pull the covers over my head, and never come out. This country is doomed. If anyone wants an eloquent explanation for why corporations are people just go to YouTube, search for "Milton Freidman" and start watching. Here's a better way to spend 28 minutes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfdRpyfEmBE

Big Hollywood : 'Mildred Pierce, The Mini-Series' Blu-Ray Review: Beautifully Produced, But Way Too Long

I recommend that anyone who knows the Crawford movie, but not the book, watch the last segment. The final scene with Milred and her ex-husband had me laughing out loud. If more modern parents had that same attitude towards their ungrateful, spoiled brat kids this world would be a whole lot better place. That scene made the previous boredom worth it.

Big Hollywood : 'It's a Wonderful Life': The Stories Behind the Yuletide Classic (Part 2)

In the late 1980's I bought It's A Wonderful Life on VHS and was amazed at how dark it was. This was a movie I had seen dozens of times, so why was it so different than I remembered it? When I looked at the box and saw the running time listed as 2 hours and 12 minutes I realized there were whole chunks of the movie I'd never seen before. I grew up in Rhode Island without cable TV so relied on channels 38 and 56 out of Boston and they always played movies in two hour time slots with commercials. Until you've seen It's A Wonderful Life uncut you really haven't seen it. I've told people that the phone scene is one of the most erotic scenes in movie history and they laugh at me. You won't get it unless you see the whole movie.

If Mitt Romney is willing to go on Letterman's show and make a fool out of himself and all Republicans, then how the hell can anyone trust him as President?
Big Hollywood : Meryl Streep Is Our Finest Actress? Think Again

Sorry, but I don't see this as anything more than typical success bashing. I can't stand Streep's politics, either, and I hated what she said about Julia Child while promoting that movie, but the woman has had one of the most successful careers in Hollywood while living a normal life away from it. She's been married to the same man for over 30 years and raised 4 kids who have so far avoided robbing any video stores. Comparing her to Sean Penn is ridiculous. Streep deserves her reputation for Sophie's Choice alone, and while she's been in way too many pretentious movies, she's also been very likeable in gems like Defending Your Life.

Ladd Ehlinger Jr., Hyphenate : Ace Takes Down Ron Paul

Anybody who supports Ron Paul in any way, shape, or form should be shunned as not only a stupid idiot but a hateful, horrible, human being. What is wrong is with conservatives? How the hell can the same Beta Male dickless wonders who sat back and let Sarah Palin be villifed as inciting mass murder without so much as breaking a sweat in her defense now care what the Paulnuts and other deluded jerks think of them? What planet am I living on? Ron Paul attracks the people he attracts because of the ideas he believes in. Ron Paul is not a victim of his crazed supporters. Ron Paul is a monster.
