Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 7/11 The VP Needs To Learn The Meaning Of Transparency

Nothing new here droids....move along! Congress not reading Bills spending record levels of our money; said Bills not on the Internet for days as promised by the President; said President signing billions of dollars of pork in these Bills, which he specifically and often swore not to do while he was on the campaign trail. Now, if you want to win the prize -- point to something and/or someone ethical and honest in this Administration or Congress!!

I for one will fight this to the very end. I am not a law-breaker. But I draw the line at government being 'authorized' to track my daily routine via RFID chips! I will also fight government control of the temperature of my home, and/or how much electricity I use and when. This has gotten so very out of control!!

You know how difficult it is to apply for a job, library card, license, etc. w/o giving them your SS number? Imagine it being even worse! Imagine not being permitted to purchase drugs at a pharmacy, or gasoline at the local gas station, or a beer at the local liquor store. The Federal government is hell-bent on controlling ALL aspects of your life, and RFID chips will make this goal infinitely easier to achieve.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : More From Your Editor - A Genuine 9/12 Opportunity

While born and raised here, I have been overseas a few times. Sometimes it was while I was in the military, others as a tourist. But I assure you that regardless of international lines and boundaries, when I could see the Lady holding high her torch, I knew I was home. There are many things wrong with this great nation at the moment, and many things right with other countries. But on balance, there is no where on this earth that I would rather live. It's one thing to be labeled a 'terrorist' by DHS because you belong to a libertarian/freedom-loving movement. It's quite another to be beaten to near-death by government police w/clubs and tossed into a prison w/o charge or sentence.

Rule #1: If you voted for the first stimulus bill, you cannot spend ANY more money until you get BACK all that money that you PROMISED us would result from all this spending. Rule #2: If you vote for ANYTHING and have not read it, you lose your right to vote on anything else in that session. Rule #3: If you vote for taxes on health care, universal health insurance, etc. -- you MUST participate! YOU have to have your health care taxed, YOU have to participate in the government's "new and improved" single-payer health insurance. Rule #4: Get out of office after two terms max. No discussion. No waivers. Just GO!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 7/9 BREAKING NEWS - Dems Want To Tax "Wealthy" To Pay For Healthcare Program

Hmmm, I think we should tax HOLLYWOOD -- producers, actors, writers, etc. -- at a particularly high rate: you know, that rate that Congress says the "rich" should pay! They represent entertainment, which is clearly a luxury, right? While we are at it, let's also heavily tax folks involved in professional baseball, basketball, football, etc. since they too participate in the entertainment industry. Really though, this is just the Progressives trying to initiate class warfare -- them vs. us. We must not fall for this crap. The folks in the Administration and Congress are truly the enemies of our Constitution, and we must keep our eye on the ball!

You are all so very right (as in "correct"). I am so very frustrated! I am sending this letter to Mr. Obama, knowing that he won't read it. But I feel that I have to do SOMETHING! Mr. Obama, you are destroying my Nation. As one of those “We the People,” it is my desire – indeed, my obligation – to speak up for this great country. 1) Every time that you depart from our shores, you seem to find it necessary to apologize for America. This act is shameful, and reflects how little you value this great nation and its history. We have, over the nearly 250 years of our existence, saved millions of lives, and freed millions of others from the heavy hand of tyranny. No other nation, past or present, can honestly claim to have improved the lives of more human beings than we have, and we have done so often without thought of recompense or self-interest. Of course we have made mistakes – we are, after all, just human beings. But we constantly strive to better not only ourselves, but our brethren in other nations; we work hard to overcome past errors and chart a better course for the future. You seem ignorant of this, or perhaps it merely fails to suit your personal agenda. You denigrate our great history, you bow before leaders of other nations, and you view this great nation as just one of many. We are NOT just one of many sir! We are the United States of America, and damned proud of it! You shall not act as though you are ashamed of this nation or its history any longer, for you shall be held accountable by us – the voters! 2) You clearly view with disdain our Constitution, as evidenced by the many acts you have instigated that are in direct contradiction to its contents and spirit. Your seemingly endless list of “Czars” is an affront to all who believe in the principles that have made this nation great. You use these to circumvent the power of the People and that of Congress. You use this in your efforts to micro-manage aspects of our lives that constitutionally are not under your purview. This must stop. 3) You have used your executive powers to appoint persons to Cabinet positions who have no greater respect or understanding of our Constitution than you have. You and your representatives bully and coerce private individuals and corporations in a manner more befitting a group of common thugs than the President and his Cabinet. You shame us, and spit on our Constitution, with every such illegal action. Any individual who dared do to others what you and your thugs have repeatedly done would rightfully be spending many years in prison. 4) You are attempting to turn us into a nation of moochers by demonizing those who provide the very basis for our economy. Who will you tax when there are no more rich people? From whom will you steal when the government runs every corporation? The end game is clear Mr. President: the utter destruction of this once-great nation, and third-world status at best. This nation was built by proud individuals who didn’t mind working hard, as long as they were permitted to keep the rewards of their efforts. Those amongst us willing to take the risks of private entrepreneurship or placing monies in the stock markets should be allowed to reap the rewards, just as they suffer the losses. We have always, ALWAYS, been the most charitable nation on earth and would continue to be so if only you would get the government’s fat hand out of our wallets and let US decide where and how to spend those extra dollars. Forced charity is not charity at all – it is welfare. Do not encourage people to rely on the government. Remind them instead to rely on themselves and their neighbors. Do not treat us as slaves on your big government plantation, where you make the decisions as to what we need and when we need it. Allow us the dignity of being free men and women, able to make our own way in the world. Mark my words sir, We the People have a good memory and it is long. You shall not escape the wrath of the American people as they discover what a twisted path you have chosen.

Has it occurred to ANYONE in Congress that there is no need for Universal Health Care to take care of those currently uninsured?? 40 million people uninsured. 15 million (at least) of these are illegals. Another 15 million are people who can afford health care but choose not to purchase it. So we really only have 10 million uninsured folks out of a population of 306 million. That's ONE person out of every 31! That's THREE PERCENT of the people in this nation. For 3% of the population, we ALL have to have a new "system" of health care? Wouldn't it be far more fair, less costly, and more efficient to work with private insurers to cover these 10 million folks? Why can't our Congress understand this? It's very simple math. It doesn't even require a calculator! Please -- everyone -- please inundate your Senators with your objections to universal health care. I have written to mine (staunch Dems both) and gotten their canned responses. But I will write again, and again, and again as long as there is any sliver of hope that we can perhaps avoid this huge boondoggle. DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : News From You

From Judge Napolitano: "This is the biggest bankruptcy in American history. It was done in four weeks. There was no testimony. The judge released his opinion on a Sunday afternoon of a three day holiday weekend. The White House got everything it wanted. The taxpayers are now on the hook for over $50 billion. This is so inconsistent with the Constitution, with Econ 101, and with basic fairness, that a first year law student could find a dozen irregularities and unlawful acts in ten minutes; and yet, there was not a peep of protest. We have become so accustomed to staring vice in the eye, that it now looks like virtue." http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industri... Yet another ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL move by/on behalf of our current administration -- and no one says a word! It would perhaps be less painful if they yanked the Constitution out of our Archives and just had a public burning -- rather than this piecemeal destruction.

What I fail to understand is why progressives want this. Such a system cannot survive. With no income, and nearly everyone dependent upon the government for food, housing, etc. -- how does such a nation survive? So even if I were a Progressive, I would not want to promote a system doomed to extinction...would you? To me it is simple mathematics. When the moochers demand more than the workers can provide, the nation stops.

I agree OB. The problem is of course that after a few years, many of those who used to be middle-class taxpayers are now so ruined by high taxes that they are on the government dole. As the years go by, there are fewer and fewer "rich" to be taxed, and those who remain are taxed at ever-increasing rates. The rich didn't get that way by being stupid. They will leave while they still can. And we will have a nation of moochers with their hands out for goodies, but totally unaccustomed to working for their own food/housing. This is not the sort of place in which I would want to live. In fact, we are nearly there already. As each month passes under this administration, more and more people seem to be of a mind that society "owes" them something: a house, a job, a big screen TV, etc. There was a time -- and not too long ago -- when people were actually ASHAMED to be on the dole! Imagine that!

From what I've read, if you and your employer are happy with the insurance provided -- you can keep it. BUT you ALSO get to contribute to the Government plan, and so does your employer! Tell me how that is supposed to be competitive? Has the Government EVER been competitive with private industry? People do not value that which costs them nothing. Folks on government-paid-for or government-subsidized health insurance will still go to the emergency room for a head cold, a bruised rib or a stubbed toe -- just like they do today! I also question how there cannot be long wait times for basic procedures, consultations, etc. when Obama proposes to add 30-40 million people to the health care system (including 20 million ILLEGALS) but is doing nothing to increase the number of hospital beds, number of nurses and doctors, number of MRI machines, etc. This is basic math here people!! The government fining people for failing to have health insurance is clearly anti-Constitutional. I don't have insurance against lightening striking me either...is it the government's job to make sure I buy some? How I spend what little money I have after paying all the other taxes should be up to me! By the way, add up all of those taxes sometime and you will see that if you are middle class like I am, you already pay way more than half of your income to the government. You would choose to pay more?? That's just nuts! P.S. I've seen the public hospitals in Mexico -- no one goes there unless they are already mostly dead. Folks who can pay extra to go to a private doctor, a private hospital, etc. because the public ones are atrocious.

Folks are complaining that Sarah Palin took the job as Governor and is now "quitting" early -- that she can't play with the "big boys". I say that in my lifetime (nearly 6 decades) I have NEVER seen anyone so viciously and relentlessly attacked, without let-up, for months on end. I wouldn't blame her if she left public service entirely and went to hide in a cave somewhere. I don't think that she will but I sure wouldn't blame her if she chose to make some money in a job where they don't constantly attack her children. I do hope that after a breather Sarah Palin will return to the public arena, but regardless, she has been a breath of fresh air and has shown us what a REAL representative of right-of-center issues looks like.
