Even though this may be an insightful sort of think tank community, we can still sit around all day debating, and still do nothing for our nation. The key is starting local; Every successful campaign, organization, and group is started and supported locally. The tea parties are a good step forward in the area, because is pulls together people who may live 10 minutes away from each other and have never met before - and unites them under the banner of freedom. If people get off their computers and actually meet with like minded Americans, things really start to happen!

Of course they post the comments from the naive people! I'm sure you'd be surprised at the number of good, hard questions never get posted. The American people are not stupid.

Although I am not a advent Ron Paul supported, I remembered him saying these exact things way back when they passed the first bailout. He said that he'd rather have our economy go down the drain with some hope of recovering, than have our economy AND our currency ditch.

CK1, the one page tax code would create even more problems. The code would have to be so general, greedy people would be able to define it for their advantage.
A simple tax code is needed, but 1 page - that's overkill.

It's that YouTube doesn't want to be responsible for the "controversial" videos, even though the videos should be sparking discussion.

What would be really best, would be to hand write a letter to your official. A hand letter shows you care enough to take the time to write a letter, therefore, it's harder to ignore.
