He should have gone back to the time when America WAS socialist. Back when William Bradford setup a form of socialism and the colony was nearly wiped out. The lesson was learned early on that it won't work. Once a free market capitalist system was put in place the colony flourished.

What about that part of American history Mr. Moore???

This doesn't seem real. A child molester who both ran from the law and admitted his guilt is being defended? I don't get it. This is truly outrageous.

This criminal should be punished. It's not complicated.

This worship of Obama is reminding me more and more of things I learned in the Eschatology classes I took (look it up). I'm not saying he is or isn't - I don't know - just eerie what things are starting to look like. They ARE worshiping him. The line saying "...in his sight..." would be a perfect example form this. Disgusting - those children likely don't even understand what they are saying.

First of all there isn't real competition in health insurance now. If there were - market forces would correct the situation in ways similar to other types of insurance. I think 90% of the problems with cost and all the red tape would be solved if companies really had to compete.

A public option would not be competition because they would have the unfair advantage of not having to worry about making money to pay people and stay in business - they would only have to milk taxpayers when they needed money.

It's not really that hard of a concept to understand.

Yeah am I missing something or did Barry just sort of toss Carter under the bus?

I agree. It's a shame that racism is being used falsely so often now that people are going to start seeing it as "crying wolf". If there is a real problem with someone being a racist will anyone notice? I think those of us with brains to see beyond the false accusations will and I hope that is enough.

I'm not going to let Mr. Cosby or anyone else derail my protest to government run health care. I reject the premise of this distraction to the debate. It tells me that the liberals have lost the argument because they are no longer really debating the merits of the plans they have but calling people names if they don't agree. What happened to a civil debate?

Government run health care will be a horrible thing. Any other government "service" agency I can think of is a joke (USPS, DMV, VA Hospitals, etc.) and I have not confidence that bureaucrats can do the job of taking care of people's health better than the men and women who have trained and dedicated their lives to do so.

Don't let this lame, ignorant tactic distract you. Keep the pressure on.

If NBC is listening... (yeah I know but want to get this off my chest)... Keith Olbermann is the reason I do not watch any pre-game, half-time or post-game football coverage on NBC. I don't even bother tuning in if the match-up doesn't seem really REALLY good either. For crying out loud can't we just watch football in peace without some political undercurrent? I guess I know how libs felt when Rush was on ESPN until they found an excuse to get rid of him. Blech!

On second thought let me revise the first statement to "If NBC SPONSORS are listening".

What you describe regarding feeding children is a problem to be dealt with not something to accept. Parents need to be held accountable if they are not providing proper nutrition. To me that is abuse from neglect and should be treated as the crime that it is. The answer isn't to give deadbeat parents a cop-out from responsibility - that has only made problems worse. Now the parents who are dead-beats will just lean on ME and other taxpayers even more because they are no longer held accountable as they should be. That is my point on limiting the scope of what the schools should be doing.

As for inspiration... Time was that children were taught to do as they were told PERIOD. Inspiration was really motivation that you need pass your tests or you will fail suffer the consequences of that failure. With the idea that even the parents are not accountable for feeding their own children I doubt there are any consequences for failure in class - any serious ones... I hope you get my point here. I don't want school to be horrible but it needs to be serious work and education not platitudes and symbolic drivel.

The problems faced right now are not going to be made better with politicians trying to boost flagging poll numbers with stunts like this. If we are being honest that is really what this was.
