News From Antiwar.com : Officials to War-Weary Americans: Al-Qaeda Still a Threat

Much is made of the Al-Qaeda threat to US security and the spectre of Osama bin Laden continues to loom. Yet, no evidence is presented that Al-Qaeda is a functioning organization nor that Osama bin Laden is alive. I believe that bin Laden has been long deceased, that what is referred to as Al-Qaeda is little more than a collection of cells which may or more likely not communicate with one another. Perhaps this is one more instance of a scare tactic designed to maintain the President's "war powers", to keep the military/industrial complex in control, and to subjugate the American electorate.
Ray, you have done it again. You set the example of courage of conviction, steadfast principles and popularity be damned. If only those so-called journalists, potential whistle-blowers decision-makers would emulate you, this world would be a far better place than it is now. Peace, Herb
