We can get over it at our own rate, but you're the one who seems to be freaking out if you HAVE TO TYPE LIKE THIS to get your point across. And I'll agree with you - of course looks aren't everything. But where has Antonio's talent come into play? When he failed to grasp the meaning of the white room challenge, or when he used flammable material to make up a fireplace? And what about charisma? Are you talking about the way he uses re-con in every other sentence, or the way he calls women 'chicks'?
'I don't know a soul who preferred you to Antonio.'
Have you been reading these blogs at all? I'd say at least 80% of these bloggers aren't happy with the decision to give Antonio a show instead of Dan.
He was the client in his first show. It would have been strange if the interaction wasn't good...
I think it starts in January, though I'm not sure.
And just to explain how they made Dan look like the bad guy... Dan later lowered the pergola price to $5,500, but they didn't show it. Yeah, it still wasn't a great deal, but it was a lot better than $10,600. And you also have to keep in mind that Antonio was with him every step of the way, except at the signing.
What I don't understand is that if they're going for youth, wouldn't they go with the younger designer? It's really annoying to me that Antonio is considered more for 'this generation', because I don't find that to be true at all. Trashy isn't how I want my grandkids to know this generation as. I'd much rather have Dan, who is a younger designer. By over a decade.
Trust me, it didn't look better on TV. I thought that overall, the Antonio Project was done poorly. Sure, it's his house, but he knew that people would judge him based off of this one episode. =/ Sadly, I think that he lost a lot of viewers just because he had to keep 'Sombrero Girl' above his bed.
I'd say jealous. Or it makes him even more competitive. It felt to me as though he felt both towards Dan, just because he knew that Dan was going to be competition after that white room challenge. And then I'd say he felt kind of jealous (due to his remarks) during the yard challenge when Dan took off his shirt. =( I kind of feel bad for Antonio, knowing that most of the viewers would have preferred the more traditional Dan.
