Thanks for keeping this tough subject in the light Ron. Here is one pastor's story of pain, porn, addiction, and redemption. Anyone that has ever been down this road will relate and be encouraged with the hope of healing. http://ow.ly/5S73Y

Each of us has to do the very next thing God puts in front of us to do related to our calling and His plan in our lives. We get the privilege of focusing on media and all the ways it can be used to touch lives with truth. Live streaming sermons on a massive scale can have dramatic effect, I think. Even so, we sometimes forget that we are in a spiritual battle, online as well. Thanks for making that point.

Leveraging partnerships with publishers who are already producing content is what Christian Media does. 316 is doing it well. We need more entities out there, and different models. I believe they will come, perhaps soon. All the economies seem to be in place, as I read it.

Personally, I'll leave it to others to educate on production technique, content formation, etc. There are many who understand media excellence. They provide the greatest opportunity for partnerships with streaming networks.

I could not agree more that the efficiency factor should take into account the depth of understanding, the growth, and the engagement of those being reached through media. But measuring or even interacting with individuals regarding their spiritual growth is something that we really could never do before. Systems and system makers haven't caught up with the capabilities of tech. So, until that happens, I would rather see us get out there en masse, or at least as many of us as God leads to do so, to bring in the harvest. God will raise up the discipleship teams, I believe. The point is, all the tools are in place, let's not wait.

Not too long at all. Love the interaction.

We share your vision to create content for distributing to hyper-local communities. Could be a model for the next wave of using digital media to impact cities with the gospel. Good interview.

Reaching people who are far from God is one of church online's strongest capabilities for advancing the kingdom. The number of shiny things competing for our affections continues to multiply. Daniel does a great job in iFaith of reminding us that Christ takes precedence over everything else. Technology must be put under His control. It is too powerful to do otherwise.

The actual proves the possible, is one of my favorite sayings. There are enough good people doing good things now, which makes showing real results and providing practical solutions more feasible than ever.

Great question. Consistently beating the drum. Sharing success stories. Talking about it every chance we get. Creating a holistic solution (platform) for bringing more on board. One that is harder to say no to because it was built in part to intentionally solve this dilemma.

You work hard at blogging, do it well, and have quite a bit of experience. So it is understandable that a lack of response to what you think is a widely recognized issue can be a little frustrating. Still, on some things, and this may be one of them, I wouldn't let response be the driving factor. I think technology has become a runaway train for most church leaders who have yet to allocate the time to getting "the big picture."

I go back and forth between two views of technology: "technology is just a tool" and "technology is producing a shift in the way we think and behave, particularly among the young." Read more: http://bit.ly/cY3B9u

The first is easy to be delegated to an IT specialist or Dir. of Communications. The latter requires, as one pastor told me recently, "a theology of technology," for the purpose of helping the church and entire congregation discern and respond biblically.

To bring redemptive attributes and strategies into the global communication phenomenon, it is important to understand the forces at work. Keep teaching and putting light on these things Paul, for such a time as this.

Thinking the same thing Paul. Thanks for all the effort you've put into promoting Internet evangelism the last few years. Keep up the great work you're doing with your blog. I KNOW it is not easy.

Well hey there Rob. I'd love to weigh in on your topic with a fresh experience.

I recently attended a conference for Christian ministries using the Internet to help fulfill the Great Commission. Participants were given the opportunity to provide a report on their projects.

In my opening remarks, I thanked the person who invited me as, "my good friend Dave Hackett, who I've known online for a year, and met in person for the first time last night." We embraced as if we had known each other for years. Later we marveled at the ease of our conversation and sense of familiarity.

I had a similar experience at the conference with Antoine RJ Wright and Craig von Buseck, whom I had previously only met and interacted with through social media.

So, what would have ordinarily been a first time experience in a room full of strangers, turned out to be time of quicker connections, enlarged communication and deeper caring, as a result of social media and most importantly, our common love for Christ.

I would add "collaboration" to your list. Being on mission with God, hastened by prior interactions and trust, prompted conference attendees to more readily explore opportunities for working together.

One more thing. I would not have had the pleasure of connecting with my good friends Rob, Tami, Sandra or Paul had it not been for these tools God has given us to leverage for extending His kingdom. It is truly great to know each of you and partner in this new field of ministry.
